    Models Island — Talent Termsv1.1

    Models Island — Talent Terms

Document: model-terms · Version: 1.1 · Effective date: 15 October 2026 Agency: Ravinaro L.L.C-FZ, trading as Models Island · Licence 2543079.01 · Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE

    The short version

These points are part of the Terms. The full clauses below apply if anything here is unclear.

    • Models Island never charges you any fee — no registration, portfolio, photo, training, commission or membership fee. Ever.
    • You are independent. You are free to accept or decline any job and to work with others. You are not our employee.
    • We are your booking agent. We conclude bookings on your behalf (only after you accept each offer) and collect your Talent Fee from the client for you. Our own agency fee is charged to the client separately — nothing is deducted from your fee.
    • You get paid within 7 days after the client's payment reaches us or after the job date, whichever is later (clause 6).
    • You must hold your own right to work in the UAE and keep it valid. Talent on a visit visa, or with no or expired authorisation, cannot be booked (clause 5).
    • Clients we introduce stay with us for 12 months. If a client we introduced contacts you directly, send them to us (clause 9).
    • Your photos. You let us show your profile and photos to promote you while you are with us. You can ask us to remove your profile at any time.
    • Be accurate and lawful. Your details must be true, and you must hold the right to work in the UAE for each job.
    • Under 18? A parent or legal guardian must register you, verify their identity and accept these Terms for you. Children's profiles are private and shared only with vetted clients (clause 13 and the Guardian Consent).

    1. About these Terms

1.1 "Models Island" is a brand and service operated by Ravinaro L.L.C-FZ, a company licensed in the Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, UAE (licence no. 2543079.01), registered address Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE ("Models Island", "we", "us"). Contact: hello@modelsisland.com · +971 58 941 0099.

1.2 These Terms apply when you apply to join, and while you are represented by, Models Island as a model, dancer, DJ, or influencer or UGC creator ("Talent", "you"). If you have more than one talent, these Terms apply to all of them.

1.3 Applying does not guarantee that we will accept you onto a roster, and being on a roster does not guarantee any work.

1.4 You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance box and typing your full name (and, where asked, drawing your signature) when you apply. We record the version and fingerprint of these Terms, the date and time, your IP address, device/browser information and approximate location as evidence of your acceptance (clause 15). If we update these Terms we will notify you, and the new version applies to bookings offered after you accept it.

    2. Definitions

    • Booking — a job a client has confirmed and paid for, for which you accepted our offer.
    • Booking Offer — our message offering you a job, stating the client (or a description if confidential), date, time, location, hours, brief, your Talent Fee and the Agreed Usage.
    • Client — the person or business that books you through us.
    • Talent Fee — the amount payable to you for a Booking, as stated in the Booking Offer, including any usage fee due to you.
    • Agreed Usage — the media, territory, duration and any exclusivity for which the client may use images and recordings of you from the Booking.
    • Introduced Client — any Client to whom we sent your profile, portfolio or a quote including you, or who booked you through us.

    3. No fees to Talent

3.1 Models Island does not charge Talent any fee, deduction or commission for registration, representation, portfolio hosting, photos, castings, bookings or payments. Our income comes from the client.

3.2 Nobody acting for Models Island is permitted to ask you for money. If anyone does, report it to hello@modelsisland.com.

3.3 Your own costs (travel to castings and jobs in Dubai unless the Booking Offer says otherwise, your own bank's charges, your licences and visas, your own portfolio shoots) are yours.

    4. Your status: independent professional

4.1 You are an independent contractor providing services on your own account. You are not an employee, worker or partner of Models Island or of any Client, and nothing in these Terms or any Booking creates an employment relationship.

4.2 You decide whether to accept each Booking Offer. You may work for other agencies and clients, except where you accept a Booking with an exclusivity condition stated in the Booking Offer.

4.3 We do not set your working hours, supervise how you perform your craft, or provide you with equipment, a salary, a uniform, an email address or a title. The Client gives creative and safety direction for the job itself.

4.4 You are responsible for your own tax, social security (if any), insurance, licences and permits. We recommend you hold personal accident insurance and, if you create content for clients, professional liability insurance.

4.5 We are your disclosed booking agent and collecting agent. You appoint Models Island, on a non-exclusive basis, to: promote you to clients; negotiate and issue quotes; conclude Bookings with clients in your name and on your behalf once you have accepted the Booking Offer; agree changes, cancellations and refunds under our Client Terms; collect your Talent Fee from the client as your collecting agent; and pay it to you. Clients are told that we act as your agent and that the Talent Fee is collected on your behalf. We will never commit you to a Booking without your acceptance.

4.6 Our Agency Fee is paid by the client. Each client quote shows your Talent Fee separately from Models Island's Agency Fee. The Agency Fee is charged to the client for our own services; it is never deducted from your Talent Fee.

4.7 Until paid to you, Talent Fees we collect for you are recorded in your name in our accounts. Our payment to you of the amount due under clause 6 discharges our obligation to you.

    5. Right to work, permits and identity

5.1 Your own right to work. You warrant that for every Booking you hold, in your own right, a valid UAE residence status and permission to carry out that work, being one of: (a) a freelance permit (MOHRE or free-zone freelance permit covering the work); (b) your own trade licence covering the work; (c) an employer NOC with a valid work permit (part-time or otherwise) allowing you to do the work; (d) a family-sponsored residence with a work permit; (e) a Golden Visa (or other long-term residence) with permission to work; (f) UAE nationality; or (g) another authorisation we have accepted in writing after review. A visit or tourist visa does not allow paid work in the UAE. Talent under 18 are subject to clause 13.

5.2 What you give us. At registration and whenever it changes, you will provide your authorisation type, document number, issuing authority and expiry date, and upload a copy of the document. Copies are stored privately and seen only by authorised Models Island staff.

5.3 Keep it valid. You must keep your authorisation valid while you are represented, notify us at least 30 days before it expires, upload the renewed document promptly, and tell us immediately if it is cancelled, suspended or changed in a way that affects the work you can do.

5.4 Not bookable without it. If your authorisation is a visit visa, missing, expired or not verified, you are not bookable: your profile is hidden from client shortlists and we will not send you Booking Offers. We re-check your authorisation when a client quote including you is created and again when the Booking is confirmed. If it is not valid at either point, or becomes invalid before the job, we may refuse, cancel or withdraw the Booking and offer it to another talent, and no Talent Fee is due to you for it.

5.5 Responsibility. You are responsible for the accuracy of your authorisation details. If you give false or out-of-date information and we, a client or you are fined or suffer loss as a result, you may be responsible for that loss (clause 11.3).

5.6 Influencers and UGC creators. If you register as an influencer or UGC creator, you must provide your UAE Media Council Advertiser Permit number and expiry date (or, if you are a visiting creator, a visitor permit obtained through a Council-accredited agency). Without a valid permit you will not be booked to publish advertising on your own social-media accounts. You will display the permit number where required and comply with Media Council content standards and advertising disclosure rules. Clause 5.3 applies to renewals.

5.7 Identity verification. We may ask you to verify your identity, age and documents, including through a trusted third-party verification provider that compares a live selfie with your ID document (this involves biometric data). We will ask for your separate, explicit consent before doing so (see the Privacy Policy). If you do not consent we may be unable to represent you.

    6. Booking Offers, payment and cancellations

6.1 Offers. We send you a Booking Offer. You accept or decline it through your Models Island link or by written reply. Once you accept and the Client pays, the Booking is confirmed and we send you a call sheet.

6.2 When you are paid. We pay your Talent Fee by bank transfer to an account in your name (for Talent under 18, the guardian's account under clause 13) within 7 days after the later of (a) the date we receive the Client's cleared payment for the Booking and (b) the Job Date (for a multi-day job, the last day).

6.3 Overtime and expenses. Overtime and approved expenses due to you are paid within 7 days after the Client pays them to us. We will chase unpaid overtime or expenses on your behalf.

6.4 Statements. With each payment we send a statement showing the Booking, your Talent Fee and the payment date.

6.5 If the Client cancels. If a confirmed Booking is cancelled by the Client, your compensation for the reserved date is a share of the money we actually keep. Your share is your Talent Fee × the proportion of the Booking Fee we keep after the Client's refund. Under our current Client Terms this means:

Client cancels We keep You receive
More than 7 days before, Client takes the 50% cash refund 50% 50% of your Talent Fee
More than 7 days before, Client takes a credit note nothing yet 50% of your Talent Fee only if the credit note expires unused (12 months)
48 hours to 7 days before 75% 75% of your Talent Fee
Less than 48 hours before, or Client no-show 100% 100% of your Talent Fee

If we keep less than these amounts, for example because a court, a regulator or a card dispute reduces what we keep, or because the Job is cancelled for force majeure, your share reduces in the same proportion. If the Client re-books you for a new Job instead, you are paid for that new Job.

6.5A When cancellation shares are paid. We pay your cancellation share 30 days after the cancellation, from cleared funds, so that card disputes can be resolved first. If the Client's payment is later reversed or charged back, we may deduct what we paid you from your future payments or ask you to repay it within 30 days.

6.6 Adjustments. If you have been paid more than you are entitled to (for example a cancelled or shortened Booking, or a Booking you did not attend), we will deduct the difference from your next payment or, if there is no further payment within 60 days, ask you to repay it within 30 days. This is not a fee — it only corrects an overpayment.

6.7 Client complaints. If a Client complains about your performance, we will tell you and hear your side before deciding anything. We will not reduce your Talent Fee unless you did not attend, arrived significantly late, or left early, in which case the fee is adjusted for the time not worked.

6.8 Unpaid clients. Because clients pay in full before the job, you should not normally face non-payment. If a Client fails to pay overtime or expenses, we will pursue them at our own cost.

    7. If you need to cancel

7.1 Once you accept a Booking Offer, please honour it. If you cannot attend because of illness, emergency or another good reason, tell us immediately by phone and message so we can find a replacement.

7.2 Please give at least 7 days' notice of any planned unavailability once booked.

7.3 We do not charge you penalties for cancelling. However, if you cancel without good reason, fail to attend, or repeatedly cancel late, we may suspend or end your representation, and you will not be paid for a Booking you did not perform.

    8. Professional conduct and safety

8.1 You agree to: arrive on time and prepared; bring any wardrobe or kit listed in the call sheet; follow the brief and reasonable creative direction; behave professionally; and not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8.2 Your safety comes first. You are never required to do anything that is unsafe, unlawful, degrading, sexual, or outside the brief (including nudity, lingerie or swimwear not in the brief). If you feel unsafe or are asked to do something outside the brief, you may stop and contact us immediately on +971 58 941 0099. If you stop because the Client breached our safety terms, you will still be paid your full Talent Fee.

8.3 Report any harassment, abuse or unsafe conditions to us as soon as you can. We will take reports seriously, support you, and not tolerate retaliation.

8.4 Documents on set. Do not sign any release, contract or document a Client gives you on set unless we have approved it in writing. Release forms for Bookings are sent to you by Models Island after the Client pays (see the Release Form).

8.5 Confidentiality and social media. Keep briefs, products, locations and unpublished campaigns confidential. Do not post images or behind-the-scenes content from a job until the Client has published the campaign, unless the Client agrees.

8.6 Reputation. Do not act in a way that would bring Models Island or a Client into serious disrepute while on a Booking.

    9. Introduced Clients (non-circumvention)

9.1 For 12 months after we last introduced you to an Introduced Client, or after your last Booking with them (whichever is later), you agree to refer to Models Island any approach by that Introduced Client (or anyone acting for them) for work of the kind we offer, and not to accept that work directly or through another agency without our written agreement.

9.2 Because we charge you no fees, we do not claim money from you for this. If you breach this clause we may end your representation, and we may pursue the Client under our Client Terms.

9.3 This clause does not stop you working for anyone who was your client before we introduced them, if you tell us about that relationship when you join or when the Client is first proposed.

    10. Your photos, profile and image

10.1 Your submitted photos. You confirm that you have the right to give us every photo, video and other material you upload or send us, including the permission of the photographer or other copyright owner where needed, and that each shows you as you currently look (clause 11).

10.2 Licence to promote you. You grant Models Island a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as you are represented by us and for 30 days after, to use your name (first name, or stage name if you choose), photographs, video, measurements and the profile information you choose to make public to: (a) display your profile on the Models Island website and in roster pages; (b) send your portfolio and comp card to prospective clients; (c) use images from your Bookings for self-promotion as allowed in the Client Terms (after the Client has published them or 6 months after the job); and (d) if you separately agree (consent box at registration), feature you on Models Island's social-media accounts and marketing.

10.3 What we will not do. We will not sell your images, license them to clients outside a Booking, use them in advertising for a third party, or alter your face or body beyond standard retouching, or use your likeness or voice to train AI or create a digital replica of you, without your separate written consent for that specific use.

10.4 Removal. You can ask us to remove your profile or any image at any time. We will remove it from our website within 7 days and stop sending it to clients. We cannot recall materials already sent to clients or used in an agreed campaign.

10.5 Images from Bookings. Each Client may use images of you only within the Agreed Usage set out in the Booking Offer and the Release Form you sign for that Booking.

    11. Accuracy warranty

11.1 You confirm that the information you give us — name, date of birth, nationality, measurements, sizes, height, appearance, skills, languages, experience, social-media statistics and work authorisation — is true, complete and current, and that your photos are recent and show your current appearance.

11.2 You will update us promptly about any change (for example haircut or colour, tattoos, measurements, pregnancy where it affects a Booking, or visa status).

11.3 If information you gave us is materially false or out of date and a Client suffers loss as a result, we may cancel Bookings, end your representation, and you may be responsible for that loss.

    12. Your personal data

12.1 We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy (www.modelsisland.com/privacy-policy), which explains what we collect, why, who we share it with (including Clients, and our technology providers in other countries), how long we keep it and your rights.

12.2 We rely on our contract with you to process the data needed to represent and pay you. We ask for your separate consent for: (a) publishing your profile publicly on our website; (b) featuring you on our social media and marketing; (c) identity verification involving biometric data; (d) any sensitive information you choose to give us; and (e) sending you marketing. You can withdraw any consent at any time (clause 12.4).

12.3 We share the parts of your profile relevant to a job with prospective and booked Clients, and your contact details and call-sheet information with the Client and its production team for confirmed Bookings only.

12.4 To withdraw consent or exercise your rights, email privacy@modelsisland.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and withdrawing consent to public display means we remove your public profile under clause 10.4.

    13. Talent under 18

13.1 If you are under 18, you can only be registered by your parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms and the Guardian Consent on your behalf, is responsible for your compliance with them, and must verify their own identity and their relationship to you (for example by uploading their ID and your passport or birth certificate) before you can be approved.

13.2 Private roster. Children are never shown on the public Models Island website or in search engines. Approved children are placed on a private kids roster. We share a child's profile only with vetted clients through password-protected share links that expire (by default after 7 days), can be revoked at any time, and record every view.

13.3 Every Booking for a Talent under 18 requires the guardian's separate acceptance of the Booking Offer and signature of the guardian Release Form. The guardian (or an adult chaperone the guardian authorises to us in writing in advance) must be with the child throughout every job.

13.4 Under-15 protocol. Children under 15 are booked only for occasional, age-appropriate artistic participation (not regular work), with the guardian present throughout and within the hour limits in the Minors on Set rules of our Client Terms. We may decline any booking for a child under 15, and this protocol may be tightened following legal advice.

13.5 For all children we follow the Minors on Set rules, including maximum hours, no work between 7 pm and 7 am, and no overtime. We will not accept Bookings that would amount to employment of a child prohibited by UAE law. Where a child is 15 to 17, the guardian confirms before each Booking that the child is medically fit for the work and that it does not interfere with schooling, and any permit the authorities require for the child must be in place.

13.6 Talent Fees for a child are paid to the guardian's nominated bank account.

    14. Ending representation

14.1 You may end your representation at any time by emailing hello@modelsisland.com or using your account settings. We may end it at any time by notice to you, for any reason that is not unlawful or arbitrary.

14.2 Bookings already accepted must still be honoured, unless both you and we agree otherwise. Clauses 6 (payments due), 9, 10.4, 10.5, 11.3 and 12 continue after representation ends.

14.3 When representation ends, we remove your public profile within 7 days and handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

    15. Electronic signature and records

15.1 You agree that these Terms, Booking Offers, release forms and other documents may be signed electronically, and that ticking a box, typing your name or drawing your signature has the same effect as a handwritten signature.

15.2 We keep a secure record of each acceptance: document version and SHA-256 fingerprint, name, email, date and time, IP address, device/browser information, approximate location and the page used. You agree this record is evidence of your acceptance. We email you a copy of what you signed.

    16. Liability

16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under UAE law.

16.2 Subject to clause 16.1, our total liability to you in connection with any Booking is limited to the Talent Fee for that Booking, and we are not responsible for indirect loss or loss of other opportunities.

16.3 Clients are responsible for the safety of their locations and for their own conduct. We will help you pursue any claim against a Client arising from a Booking.

    17. General

17.1 These Terms, together with each Booking Offer and Release Form, are the entire agreement between you and us about representation. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues.

17.2 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor operating the Models Island business, on notice to you.

17.3 These Terms are written in English. An Arabic translation is available on request; if they are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.

17.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in Dubai. Any dispute will first be discussed in good faith for at least 14 days, and then may be brought before the Courts of Dubai.

We do not sell personal data.

    6. Publication of Talent profiles

If you consent, your public profile shows your first name or stage name, reference number, photos, measurements and the profile details you choose. We never publish your contact details, date of birth, surname (unless it is your stage name), documents or bank details. Profiles of Talent under 18 are never published; they are shared only through password-protected links with vetted clients (section 10).

    7. International transfers

Our technology providers store and process data outside the UAE (see section 5). We transfer personal data outside the UAE only where permitted by the PDPL: under contracts with our providers that require protection of personal data at a standard consistent with the PDPL, where the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you (for example processing a payment or sending your booking email), or with your express consent. You can ask us for more information about the safeguards for a particular provider.

    8. How long we keep data

    Data Retention
Work-authorisation details and document copies While you are represented; deleted 12 months after representation ends. The result of the check made for each booking (type, number, expiry, date checked) is kept with that booking's records
Guardian ID and relationship documents While the child is represented; deleted 12 months after representation ends
Kids share-link and view logs 24 months from the link's expiry, or longer if needed to investigate misuse
Applications that are not accepted 12 months from the decision, then deleted (unless you ask us to keep it longer for future opportunities)
Talent profiles and photos While you are represented; public profile removed within 7 days of your request or the end of representation; other profile data deleted within 12 months after representation ends, except as below
Booking, payment, invoice and payout records 7 years from the end of the relevant tax period (UAE tax record-keeping)
Consent, acceptance and signature records, signed releases and the documents accepted For the life of the relationship and 5 years after the last booking, or longer while a claim, dispute or usage period is ongoing
Release forms for a booking Until 5 years after the Agreed Usage period ends
Identity-verification images and biometric data (when introduced) Deleted by the provider promptly after verification; we keep only the result (verified / not verified, date, document type and expiry)
Client enquiries that do not lead to a booking 24 months
Newsletter subscription records Until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record (email only) so we do not contact you again
Server and security logs Up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

    9. Your rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

    • be informed about the processing of your personal data and obtain a copy of it;
    • receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and have it transferred (where technically feasible);
    • have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed;
    • have your data erased where it is no longer needed, where you withdraw consent, or where processing is unlawful — subject to our legal obligations to keep certain records;
    • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
    • object to processing for direct marketing, and in other circumstances set by law;
    • object to decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal effects on you; and
    • withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise a right, email privacy@modelsisland.com or use your account settings. We may ask you to verify your identity. We will respond without undue delay and within any period required by law. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

    10. Children

10.1 We represent children under 18 only through a parent or legal guardian, who is the account holder. Children cannot create accounts themselves. We apply the same protections to all under-18s, whatever their age.

10.2 We process a child's personal data only with the explicit consent of the parent or guardian (Guardian Consent), and only for representing the child, sharing relevant details with clients for genuine booking purposes, managing bookings and payments, and complying with law.

10.3 We do not use children's data for targeted advertising, behavioural profiling or marketing, and we do not send marketing to children.

10.4 Children's profiles are not shown on our public website or in search engines. They are kept on a private roster and shared only with vetted clients through password-protected links that expire (by default after 7 days), can be revoked, and log every view. Profiles show the first name only. We never disclose a child's surname, school, home area or contact details to clients.

10.5 A guardian must verify their identity and relationship to the child before the child can be approved. These documents are stored privately and seen only by authorised staff.

10.6 For children and parents, in plain words: We keep your child's photos and details safe and private. They are not on our website. We only show them, with a password, to people who might book your child for a job, and only when you say yes. You can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing privacy@modelsisland.com.

    11. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls with role-based permissions and two-factor authentication for administrators, audit logs of administrative actions, automatic compression and metadata (EXIF) stripping of uploaded images before storage, single-use links for release forms, and bot protection. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach occurs that may affect your privacy, we will notify the UAE Data Office and, where required, you, in accordance with the PDPL.

    12. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent.

    13. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when implementing regulations or guidance under the PDPL are issued. The current version and its effective date are always shown on this page, and earlier versions are kept on record. We will tell registered users about significant changes by email.
