The deal
No fees, ever
No registration, portfolio, photo or commission fee. The client pays our agency fee on top of your fee, so nothing comes out of what you earn.
Non-exclusive
Keep your own gigs and your other agencies. You see each offer first, and nothing is booked until you accept it.
Paid within 7 days
Paid within 7 days of the client paying or your job date, whichever is later, by bank transfer. Clients pay us in full before the job, so you aren’t chasing invoices. You get a statement with each payment.
Your photos, your call
You choose website and Instagram, one of them, or private for clients only. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time.

What to have ready
Your sound
The genres you play: house, open format, Arabic, afro, whatever is true. Clients search by this first.
A mix or set link
SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube or wherever your best set lives. It’s what gets you shortlisted.
What you play on
CDJ-3000s, your own controller, or both. It tells us which venues and setups suit you.
One recent photo
A clear, unfiltered picture of you. Measurements are optional unless you also want to model.

Questions
How do I find DJ jobs in Dubai?
Most DJ work in Dubai comes through venues, promoters, event companies and agencies. To get bookings through Models Island, fill in one free application with your genres, mix link and equipment. When a client’s brief fits your sound, we send you an offer.
Is this a salaried or resident DJ job?
No. These are freelance bookings, job by job, with no salary or fixed hours. We can’t promise a number of gigs, because that depends on client briefs. If you hold a residency, you can keep it.
How much do DJs get paid?
It varies by job. Each offer states your fee before you accept, and you can decline anything that doesn’t work for you. Models Island takes nothing from that fee: the client pays our agency fee separately.
Does Models Island charge DJs any fees?
No. There are no registration, portfolio, photo, commission or membership fees, ever. Anyone asking you to pay to join us is not us. Official contact only comes from @modelsisland.com email addresses or our WhatsApp line.
Is it exclusive?
No. You can keep your own work and other agencies. One condition: a client we introduce stays with us for 12 months, so if they contact you directly about DJ work, send them to us.
When do I get paid?
Within 7 days of the client paying or your job date, whichever is later, by bank transfer to an account in your name. Clients pay us in full before the job, and you get a statement with each payment.
Do you sponsor visas or arrange work permits?
No. You need your own right to work in the UAE, such as a freelance permit. It is illegal to work without a valid permit, and a visit or tourist visa does not give the right to work. You can still apply, and our talent terms require a valid right to work before you take a job.
Who handles the event permit?
The event organiser or venue. In Dubai they apply to DET through ePermits and submit performer details, including passport information, so we may ask you for those for a specific job.
Can I work as a model too?
Yes. The same form covers every talent you have, so tick all that apply. If you tick Model, the form also asks for your measurements.
Can I remove my profile later?
Yes, at any time, from the Delete my profile page. You also choose where your photos appear when you apply.
