Questions

How do I get influencer jobs in Dubai?

Brands find creators through agencies, direct outreach and platforms. To get work through Models Island, fill in one free application with your platforms, audience and links. When a brand’s brief fits your niche, we send you an offer.

Is this an office job in influencer marketing?

No. We don’t hire campaign managers here. These are freelance bookings for creators, job by job, with no salary or fixed hours, and we can’t promise a number of jobs because that depends on brand briefs.

Do I need a permit to work as an influencer in the UAE?

Yes, for advertising content. Since 1 February 2026, anyone in the UAE producing advertising content on social media, paid or unpaid, needs an Advertiser Permit. The National Media Authority lists it as free for residents for the first three years and AED 1,000 after that. Visitors apply through a licensed UAE advertising agency for AED 500, valid three months. We don’t arrange the permit for you.

I only make UGC for brands. What does the form ask?

Tick UGC creator rather than Influencer. The form then asks for your niches and portfolio, and doesn’t ask for a permit number. Check your own position against the National Media Authority’s rules if your content is advertising.

Do I need a certain number of followers?

We set no minimum. Brands ask for different things, and UGC work isn’t about your audience at all. A smaller, engaged audience in the right niche can suit a brief well.

How much do influencers get paid?

It varies by job. Each offer states your fee and what the brand may do with the content before you accept, and you can decline anything that doesn’t work for you. Models Island takes nothing from that fee: the client pays our agency fee separately.

Does Models Island charge creators any fees?

No. There are no registration, portfolio, photo, commission or membership fees, ever. Anyone asking you to pay to join us is not us. Official contact only comes from @modelsisland.com email addresses or our WhatsApp line.

Is it exclusive?

No. You can keep your own work and other agencies. One condition: a client we introduce stays with us for 12 months, so if they contact you directly about creator work, send them to us.

When do I get paid?

Within 7 days of the client paying or your job date, whichever is later, by bank transfer to an account in your name. Clients pay us in full before the job, and you get a statement with each payment.

Do you sponsor visas or arrange work permits?

No. You need your own right to work in the UAE, such as a freelance permit. It is illegal to work without a valid permit, and a visit or tourist visa does not give the right to work. You can still apply, and our talent terms require a valid right to work before you take a job.

Who handles the event permit?

The event organiser or venue. In Dubai they apply to DET through ePermits and submit performer details, including passport information, so we may ask you for those for a specific job.

Can I work as a model too?

Yes. The same form covers every talent you have, so tick all that apply. If you tick Model, the form also asks for your measurements.

Can I remove my profile later?

Yes, at any time, from the Delete my profile page. You also choose where your photos appear when you apply.
